I'm a 15-year-old Waterford, CT resident who started this business because I saw a real problem no one was solving — dirty, reeking garbage bins that nobody wanted to deal with.
So I decided to deal with it myself. I built The Garbage Guru from scratch — the brand, the website, the booking system, and the actual cleaning operation — all while balancing school and everything else that comes with being 15.
Every bin I clean gets the same professional treatment. I show up, I do the work, and I don't leave until your bins are spotless.
Why I Started This
The Idea
It hit me one summer day when I rolled our bins back in and noticed how disgusting they were — flies, odors, actual mold. I thought, "Someone should clean these." Then I thought, "Why not me?" I started researching bin cleaning as a business, figured out the equipment I'd need, and got to work.
Building It From Scratch
I didn't just show up with a hose. I designed the brand logo, built this website from the ground up (with some AI help), set up the online booking system with Calendly, and figured out all the details — pricing, service limits, what to do when bins aren't empty. Every business decision was mine to make.
My Commitment to Quality
I only use biodegradable, eco-friendly products — safe for your kids, your pets, and the environment. I cap my schedule at 5 clients per day so I can give every job the attention it deserves. No rushing, no cutting corners.
